I’m probably in one of the most versatile trades out there. The customer was very impressed with his lounge, dinning and kitchen flooring, he decided to do the passage way. The job itself was pretty straightforward except for the numerous cuts which unfortunately waisted a lot of flooring and we ended up coming up short. This is where the 10% factor comes into play. You really do need to order an additional 10% over the square meterage just to factor in the cuts around walls, door and width of the passageway to finish off the job and have the floor flow through without having to put in additional joins. So we need an additional four boards to finish off the job but all in all, the customer is very happy with the final outcome and that’s what really matters.
